As the Actuarial Analyst for Picnic Labs (Picnic) you will be a critical member of our actuarial and underwriting team, working across multiple products, businesses, and portfolios.

The ideal candidate will have:
>You’ll be a graduate (or close to it) from a relevant university course, or be in the first few years of your actuarial career.
>You may have done some work in insurance, banking, or other financial products.
>Enjoyed analysing data, used your actuarial judgement to provide meaningful insights and trends.

Day to day tasks:
>Be working with complex data and scenarios to assist with pricing, claims modelling, reserving, capital calculations, and financial models for a range of risk protection and insurance products.
>Apply your actuarial and analytical skills to a range of regular BAU and project tasks, as required.
>Support the Chief Actuary and Underwriter on critical tasks, modelling, reserving and calculations.
>Effectively communicate actuarial & analytical modelling and the results to the wider team.
>Manage your workload within the required timeframes for each activity.
>Develop and maintain knowledge of the relevant legislation, industry, business and technology trends.
>Support the timely delivery of quotes, adjustments, projections and other deliverables across a range of products and mutuals.
>Perform peer-review of other team members’ work.· Perform your assigned duties in a professional and ethical manner.
You’ll likely have:
>Hold, or be working towards tertiary qualifications in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or another relevant field.
>Working towards, or have the desire to work towards, and Actuarial qualification.
>Strong analytical and quantitative capabilities.
>Proficiency in analytic and communication tools such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other software.
>Excellent report writing and presentation skills to present key findings.
>The ability to synthesise large amounts of complex information and data into succinct insights and narratives.
>Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy within both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
>High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.

As the Company Secretary - Mutuals for Picnic Labs (Picnic) you will be responsible for managing the administration of the portfolio of Boards of multiple Mutuals where Picnic is the appointed manager.
Reporting to the CEO, you’ll collaborate with the Picnic team to deliver exceptional support and service to Boards and the mutual members.
The ideal candidate will have:
>Hold a relevant tertiary qualification.
> 4+ years of experience in a Company Secretarial role.
>Demonstrated expertise in the Corporations Act along with ASIC requirements.
>Strong organisational skills combined with a highly tuned attention to detail.
>Outstanding communication, relationship management and presentation capabilities.
>Established capability to use software tools including Word, Excel, Teams & Outlook, and the ability to learn new software tools to enable efficient remote working collaboration.
>Familiar with network and cloud storage as well as file sharing.
>Demonstrated ability to organise, schedule and host Virtual Board and AGM Meetings using Microsoft suite of tools (E.g. Teams Meetings, Teams Events).
>Proven ability to work effectively both based on individual and team requirements.
>An active membership of an appropriate professional body such as the Governance Institute of Australia or the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD) would be well regarded.
Day to day tasks:
>Create and manage the end-to-end Board meeting processes including calendars, invites, meetings, papers, minutes, and matters arising for each Board.
>Provide specialist, reliable and timely advice to support the robust governance framework for each Mutual and its Board to ensure obligations are met.
>Be a diligent, highly skilled organiser and communicator with a track record of delivering outstanding results across multiple boards.
>Undertake the creation, management and review of policies and charters.
>Lead and manage the development of systems, processes, and enhancements to deliver effective, efficient and robust governance.
>Advise the multiple Mutual Boards on governance matters.
>Organise and facilitate virtual Board meetings and AGMs (Annual General Meetings) attended by Mutual members.
>Coordinate all documentation, invitations, registers, proxy voting and other requirements for the creation of digital solutions to support the effective and efficient delivery of virtual meetings and AGMs.
> Advise on and prepare Director notices and lodgements with ASIC (Australian Securities & Investments Commission).
>With the help of our internal Legal, Finance, and Risk & Compliance experts to ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and corporate governance practices for the multiple Mutual Boards.
>Maintain statutory registers and ensure proper documentation of corporate actions and decisions for each Mutual.
>Develop and maintain a suite of Governance documents, calendars, and templates.
You’ll likely have:
>Worked as a professional Company Secretary or Assistant Company Secretary:
- within a single organisation, or
- across multiple organisations, or
- within a single organisation and its multiple subsidiaries or related entities, or
- as an independent, external provider of Company Secretarial services.
> Or, held governance, legal and/or Company Secretary or similar roles within Insurance or the Financial Services Industry.
